Good Fish and chips in a garden setting with a very nice view . This was the designated lunch stop for our Kona cruise Excursion. Food was cooked upon ordering.

If you&#39;re looking for the best and most authentic Hawaiian food ever, this is where you need to go.

If you can find a better scenic view at any restaurant anywhere in this country please let me know! This rustic place sets on a hill side perhaps 2000 ft above sea level over looking beautiful Kealakekua Bay.

We stopped here right as they were closing but they made us some to go fish and chips which were amazing.

We stopped for a quick lunch here and the Ono (fish) &amp; chips was recommended. Cooked fresh and arrived hot at our table. We had the 1 1/2 size portion for two of us and it was enough food. Nice crisp coating on the fish and it was mild and meaty. Great taste. It is just on the highway..nothing super fancy but had a nice island vibe. Worth the stop.

So far the food quality on the big island has been, at best, disappointing, with the exception of a couple of food choices. Healthy choices have been ridiculously difficult to find. This restaurant is a matter of personal taste for sure. The fish and chips were silver dollar size, flat and fried which left not much fish to taste. The fries were good. The smoothies were okay. As one reviewer noted, this dish was &ldquo;Arena Food.&rdquo; Others who chose the hamburger said they were good. The servers are caring and provide friendly and very good service. The atmosphere is quaint and funky and entirely open air. And, yes, as noted by others, it&#39;s quite expensive and that&#39;s not just because it&#39;s Hawaii. This stop is just too expensive for what one receives.
